Your first visit
A short lesson that shows where to start
The first visit is a short lesson in your own pool. The instructor gets in the water with the swimmer, tries a few things and talks with you on the deck. By the end we know the level, the evenings that suit you and whether to book one swimmer or two together.
Held at your pool, in the evening
The swimmer stays in the shallow end
You and the swimmer say what you would like to work on

In the water
What the instructor looks at
Getting in
How the swimmer uses the steps, and how it feels to stand in the shallow end.
Face in the water
Blowing bubbles, then putting the face in, then floating with support.
Moving
Kicking from the wall and reaching for it, to see which level fits.
Before we arrive
Have these ready at your pool
The gate
Closed and latched, and an adult who can walk it with us.
A place to sit
Shade for the adult, and a spot for towels.
A level in mind
If you have one. If you are not sure, tell us and we will choose it together.
Evenings that suit you
A few options, so we can match the swimmer to an instructor's evening.
Where would the swimmer start?
The levels run from water comfort to endurance and technique.
